Mark to Market Details Screen New Data Columns and Their Calculations

This release adds some new columns to the Mark to Market screen.  (Please note that if you have changed and saved a different table layout from the default view, these new columns can be added by right clicking in the table header and selecting the new column name from the column list.)

Goods - Next to Cost & Freight there is now a Goods column. In the default screen layout this can be seen next to the Cost and Freight columns. (These 3 columns match with the 3 section types in which cost item types are organized.)

Typically Goods represents the Purchase and Sales values.  When a user purchases stock and puts it in inventory, the inventory lot gets a cost sheet with 1 or more Goods items that summarize the overall purchase costs made for it so far. That value will show up in MTM (and in the Results per Contract screen) in the column Goods. For that new stock, Costs and Freight are 0.00.

For priced stock, the Goods cost item includes Goods + Cost + Freight. So for those, MTM will show the purchase price but no longer use it to include it in the ContractValue, because that is now included in the Goods items.

For unpriced stock, the Goods cost item does not yet include price details (it remains 0). For these cases, the price assessment will remain the same as for a purchase that is not yet priced.

Cost amount, Freight amount, Goods amount - Next to Cost, Freight and Goods that represent a value per quantity, there are now Cost amount, Freight amount and Goods amount. They each represent the total amount over the whole quantity for the same 3 section types.

By default these 3 columns are not shown. (A user must right click in the table header to select them). These can be added to a Mark to Market table to check data correctness to work with the total amounts rather than the amount per quantity.

Market base price and market premium – Market base price equals the futures price from market data.  The market premium is also taken from market data.  They are used to calculate Market price which had already been shown in the table.

Mark to Market Calculation Change for Cost, Freight and Goods

The way MTM calculates with cost/freight/goods has been changed in version 3.15.2.  Data is taken from cost sheets in their original currency and where needed, converted against a day rate. (In the past Cost and Freight were sent directly from the risk tab, but this gave issues with conversion and currency rates).

This improves the validity of Results per Contract screen, as it eliminates the Forex from the Costs & Freight amounts; since these Forexes are added already in separate lines. Keeping them in would cause double counting of these Forexes

Market Base Price Shown in Original Currency in the Mark to Market Screen

In Agiblocks version 3.15.2 there is a change in the Mark to Market screen for users who trade Sugar #11 or Coffee Arabica futures. Both of these futures are from NY and both are quoted in UScents/LB. In previous releases, when the market price was in USc/LB then in the Mark to Market screen it was shown as USD/LB.  This meant that a price like 14.88 cents/lb become 0.15 USD/LB which caused a loss of information due to rounding.  This has been changed in this release. The market base price is a copy of the futures price from market data and has the same currency/unit as that future type.

Agiblocks System Label

It is now possible to label an Agiblocks system with a name to describe it.  The label appears at the top right of the screen in the App Bar section. The label may be any text string.  This can be used to distinguish between Agiblocks Test and Production environments.
